Certified Appreciative Adviser
The Office of Appreciative Education offers a lifetime professional certification for academic advisers and other educators. Certified Appreciative Advisers are committed to optimizing their students’ educational experiences through the application of the Appreciative Education framework.
Certified Appreciative Advisers will receive a digital badge through Accredible. We encourage you to display the digital badge on your LinkedIn, social media accounts and signature block. If you are a Certified Appreciative Adviser and did not receive your digital badge, please email oae@klifr.com.

Certification Packet
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Certified Appreciative Adviser! A candidate for the Appreciative Adviser Certification must submit a completed Application packet via email to the Office of Appreciative Education at oae@klifr.com. Please make sure you download the PDF before trying to complete.
- Completed Application packet with payment (unless a bundle package has been purchased)
- Successful completion of the Appreciative Advising Institute or the Appreciative Advising Online Course within the past two years (please include a copy of your completion certificate).
- Three completed 3-page Appreciative Advising Skills Rubrics (self, colleague or student, supervisor)
- One Letter of Recommendation from Your Supervisor
- Current Resume/Curriculum Vitae
- Personal Appreciative Advising Theory Statement (please see specific questions to answer on pg. 4 of application packet)
